VISA REQUIRED, PASSPORT REQUIRED
OVERVIEW
For US citizens a visa is required. A U.S. citizen who does not comply with Russian immigration laws can be subject to arrest, fines, and/or deportation. Russian authorities will not allow U.S. citizens to depart the country if their visa has expired. Travelers must wait until a new visa is approved, which may take up to 20 days. Please verify the expiration date of your Russian visa, and leave Russia before your visa expires!
TOURIST TRAVEL:
Step 1 - Gather the Following Requirements

Current Passport |
|
|
|
Applicant must submit their current passport. Russia visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the the original passport is required.
Note: In order to obtain Russia visas, passport must have two (2) blank, facing visa pages(typically the last few pages of the passport are marked "Amendment" and are not valid for visas) and must be valid for at least six months past the date of entry into Russia. |

Photo Requirement |

|
|
Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs. The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself. Passport photos can be obtained at most post offices, Kinko's, Walgreens, etc. |

1.3 |
Proof of Travel |
|
|
|
Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as e-confirmation from an airline or Travelocity, Orbitz, etc) showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure for Russia.
Although applicant may be submitting documents along with other family members, when submitted to an embassy or consulate, applications are treated individually. If applicant is under 18 years old, include the following:
1) Color copies of parents valid passports. If either, or both, parents do not have valid passports, include color copies of driver's license or other state issued ID. If either, or both, parents are not US citizens, include copies of ID and copies of US visa or permanent resident card (Green card).
2) Include a letter of authorization for child to obtain visa and travel.

Official Invitation |
|
|
|
Applicant must submit a certified Russian invitation voucher. These can often be obtained from hotels or tour companies. If applicant does not possess an invitation, one may be ordered using the link below. This service will take your information and payment, process the invitation, and provide it to ItsEasy. This is the easiest and most common way applicants obtain visa invitation vouchers.
When asked for processing location, select USA for Country and New York for city.

Note: Russian visas are issued for the duration of time stated on the invitation.
Note: If applying for a three year, multiple entry visa select a single entry invitation. This is all that is required to apply for the three year visa. Also note that three year visa requests can take up to one month to process. |

The application must be completed using an online wizard provided by the Russian government. This policy was implemented and mandatory as of July 1, 2011. Once completed, print and sign application.

Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a U.S. company. The BCL must be an original signed document on company letterhead indicating the date, duration and purpose of travel to Russia, list a contact and address at the host company, and observe moral and financial responsibility for the applicant. |

Applicant must submit a certified Russian invitation voucher. These can often be obtained from inviting party in Russia, however may take several weeks to be issued. If applicant does not possess an invitation, one may be ordered using the link below. This service will take your information and payment, process the invitation, and provide it to ItsEasy. This is the easiest and most common way applicants obtain visa invitation vouchers.

Note: When ordering business invitations, an uploaded scan of the information page of the applicants passport is required.
